Founder and owner of GUM. Named @Modernsalon top 100 & @behindthechair_com top 100. With years of experience Christian (he/him) has successfully been featured in and with many brands such as Redken, Pulp Riot, Olaplex, and countless others. Christian has decided to open a on-trend hair salon like no other nestled in Downtown Providence. Leading others and encouraging his team to create their way and creating a space where clients can express their true authentic self.

With 5+ years of experience under his belt some including right in the city of Boston. Griffin (he/him) has mastered that perfect blend of effortless, lived-in color. His vibe is soft, modern, organic, and always true to the individual. Now calling Providence his home, Griffin's drawn to the city's laid-back yet lively energy where he can evolve his craft without ever feeling stuck. At GUM his style perfectly aligns with us; relaxed, on-trend, and always original.
Bridget (she/her); where the weird gets celebrated. With a few solid years of experience, her styles ranges from alternative cutting to precise extension work. But her true speciality lies in clipper cutting + masculine shapes and alternative razor cutting that brings a fresh vibe to her craft. Now rooted in Providence, Bridget creates a space that values authenticity and self-expression. At GUM she fits right in; elevating creativity, and redefining what it means to make your style your own.

Her art mixes edge with a hint of softness, curating every detail—from vivid color to razor cutting; so your look matches your vibe, personality and lifestyle. Originally from Massachusetts, Bell (they/them) was drawn to Providence for its creative and inclusive community. Specializing in fantasy vivid color and alternative cutting, they love bringing maximalist-inspired and trend-forward looks to life while helping clients express their individuality. Always seeking new inspiration, Bell can often be found thrifting, supporting local drag shows, and staying connected to the creative communities that make Providence unique. At GUM their artistic spirit and welcoming energy make them feel right at home.

From there, your artist will help determine the right service and appointment time and get you booked!
Pricing depends on your artist, the service, and the time and product required. Our prices are starting prices, and your stylist can provide an estimated range once they’ve reviewed your hair and desired result.
We accept all forms of electronic payment (Visa, Discover,Mastercard, American Express) no checks and we do not accept cash for the service itself. We do accept electronic gratuity, but would prefer cash/venmo gratuity if possible.
We recommend you come in with clean, smoothed out hair if possible. This will ensure the best end result!
Appointment times vary by service, with some taking 3–6 hours. We have snacks, drinks, charging stations, and an electronic bar if you need to work during your appointment.
We love showing off our artistry! We may ask to take photos or videos, but we’ll always ask for your permission first. If being on camera isn’t your thing, no worries at all.
Our services are offered on a by-stylist basis, as each artist specializes in different services. All of our stylists go through a training program and are encouraged to continue their education throughout their careers. Check out each artist’s page under “Artists” to see what they offer.

The best way to get a price quote is through a free consultation with your artist, either in person, through “Request an Appointment,” or by texting your artist directly.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for appointments 3+ hours. It is strong encouraged for cancellations or rescheduling to be made 48+ hours in advance to transfer your deposit.
Changes within 48 hours will result in the deposit being forfeited and may result in a charge of 100% of the remaining booked service total to the card on file.
No shows will result in the deposit being forfeited and will result in 100% of the remaining booked service total to the card on file.
We understand things happen, which is why we offer a 15-minute grace period. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled, and the booked service may be charged to the card on file.
Deposits help us secure longer appointments and protect our artists’ time. Your $100 deposit is applied toward your final service total and helps ensure your appointment is reserved specifically for you.
Our clients come to us to relax and get away. We strongly encourage our clients to leave their children at home. Our space isn't built out for children and we try our best to create a relaxing and mature environment.
We want you to love your hair! If something feels off, please reach out within 2 weeks of your appointment. We’ll do our best to accommodate an adjustment, but due to our busy schedules, please allow up to 2 weeks for a appointment.
